Performance
There are two powertrains available for the Volvo S60. The B5 uses a 247-hp turbocharged four-cylinder and is paired with front- or all-wheel drive. Then there's the Recharge T8, which increases power to 456 horses and exclusively uses all-wheel drive.
In testing, the EPA found that the nonhybrid S60 got an estimated 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid offered a combined 74 MPGe and an electric-only drive range of 41 miles.
Interior/Exterior Design
The exterior of the Volvo S60 is stylish but not overly flashy. But its interior is where the model shines. A navigation system, 10-speaker audio system, and heated front seats are also standard. By upgrading to a higher trim, drivers will find amenities such as power-folding rear seats/headrests, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and memory settings for the front passenger seat.

Trim Levels
The Volvo S60 is available in three trim levels: Core, Plus, and Ultimate.

- Plus: The Plus expands on the base model by adding leather upholstery, power-folding rear seats and headrests, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system.
- Ultimate: As the top-tier trim, the Ultimate features all the same tech as the Core and Plus trims while adding front seats with power-extendable seat bottoms, passenger seat memory settings, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a head-up display.
